INCOME INEQUALITY
1. THE PRICE OF INEQUALITY
Joseph E. Stiglitz – An American economist and a professor at Columbia University.  He is a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences (2001) and the John Bates Clark Medal (1979).  He is a former senior vice president and chief economists of the World Bank and is a former member and chairman of the US President's Council of Economic Advisers.  Stiglitz has received more than 40 honorary degrees, including from Cambridge and Harvard, and he has been decorated by several governments including Korea, Colombia, Ecuador and most recently France.  He was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the World.  He is the author of several books.  The Price of Inequality is a New York Times Bestseller.

2.  THE NEW GEOGRAPHY OF GLOBAL INCOME INEQUALITY (2003)
Glenn Firebaugh – An American sociologist and leading international authority on social science research methods.  Currently he is the Roy C. Buck Distinguished Professor of Sociology at the Pennsylvania State University.  He has also held regular or visiting faculty appointments at Harvard University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Michigan.  Firebaugh is best known for his contributions to statistical methods and for his research on global inequality.  His publications are highly cited by other social scientists.

3. THE HAVES AND THE HAVE-NOTS (2011)
Branko Milanovic – is a Serbian-American economist.  A development and inequality specialist, he is since January 2014 a visiting presidential professor at City University of New York Graduate Center and an affiliated senior scholar at the Luxembourg Income Study.  He was formerly the lead economist in the World Bank's research department, visiting professor at University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University.  Between 2003 and 2005 he was senior associate at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.  He has published a large number of papers, including some 40 for the World Bank, mainly on world inequality and poverty.  The Globalist selected The Haves and the Have-Nots as number one on its "top books of 2011".

GLOBALIZATION
4. GLOBALIZATION – THE MAKING OF WORLD SOCIETY (2008)
Frank J. Lechner – is a Professor of Sociology at Emory University in Atlanta.  Among his publication dealing with globalization are World Culture: Origins and Consequences (with John Boli – 2005), The Netherlands: Globalization and National Identity (2008), and The Globalization Reader (with John Boli) (2008).  He has also written extensively about religion and social theory.

5.  GLOBALIZATION (2017)
Manfred B. Steger – is a professor of Sociology at the University of Hawaii – Manoa and Honorary Professor of Global Studies at RMIT University.  He also served as a globalization consultant for the US Department of State.  He is the author or editor of twenty-five books on globalization and the history of political ideas.

6. THE GLOBALIZATION PARADOX (2011)
Dani Rodrik – is a Turkish economist and Ford Foundation Profess or International Political Economy at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.  He was formerly the Albert O. Hirschman Professor of the Social Sciences at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey.  He has published widely in the areas of international economics, economic development, and political economy.  He is also joint editor-in-chief of the academic journal Global Policy.  He has been the recipient of research grants from the Carnegie Corporation, Ford Foundation, and Rockefeller Foundation.

7. GRAVE NEW WORLD – THE END OF GLOBALIZATION, THE RETURN OF HISTORY (2017)
Stephen D. King –is a British economist.  He is senior economic adviser at HSBC Holdings, where he was chief economist from 1998 to 2015.  King also works as a journalist and is specialist adviser to the House of Commons Treasury Committee.  He is author of Losing Control: The Emerging Threats to Western Prosperity (2010), and When the Money Runs Out: The End of Western Affluence (2013).

8. MAKING GLOBALIZATION WORK (2007)
Joseph E. Stiglitz – See #1 above.  Making Globalization Work is an International Bestseller.

9. EUROPE, GLOBALIZATION, AND THE COMING UNIVERSAL CALIPHATE (2011)
Bat Ye'or – Born in Cairo, Egypt, she is a pioneer researcher on dhimmitude. Her three major books translated from French are: The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians under Islam (1985), The Decline of Eastern Christianity under Islam: From Jihad to Dhimmitude (1986), Islam and Dhimmitude: Where Civilizations Collide (2002).  She also wrote Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis (2005).

UNITED NATIONS
10. BASIC FACTS ABOUT THE UNITED NATIONS 42ND Edition (2017)
United Nations Department of Public Information – This book is written by the U.N. Its contents include chapters on UN Charter, Structure and System; International Peace and Security; Economic and Social Development; Human Rights, Humanitarian Action; and International Law.

11. THE UNITED NATIONS (2015)
Jussi M. Hanhimaki – a Professor of International History and Politics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.  An editor of the journal Cold War History, He is the author or co-author of six books, including The Flawed Architect: Henry Kissinger and American Foreign Policy.  He won the 2002 Bernath Prize from the Society for Historians or American Foreign Relations.

12. THE UNITED NATIONS AND CHANGING WORLD POLITICS (2017)
Thomas G. Weiss – a distinguished scholar of international relations and global governance with special expertise in the politics of the United Nations.  He was named a 2016 Andrew Carnegie Fellow for a project exploring the concept of a world without the United Nations.  Since 2998, he has been Presidential Professor at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and is Director Emeritus of the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies.
David P. Forsythe is the Charles J. Mach Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Roger A. Coate is the Paul D. Coverdell Professor of Public Policy at Georgia College and State University and Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of South Carolina.
Kelly-Kate Pease is professor of international relations at Webster University in St. Louis and the director of the International Relations Program Worldwide.  She also serves as a fellow in the Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies.

13.  THE PARLIAMENT OF MAN (2006)
Paul Kennedy is a British historian at Yale University specializing in the history of international relations, economic power and grand strategy.  He has published prominent books on the history of British foreign policy and Great Power struggles.  He emphasizes the changing economic power base that undergirds military and naval strength, noting how declining economic power leads to reduced military and diplomatic weight.  He was a member of the History Department at the University of East Anglia between 1970 and 1983.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, a former Visiting Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, and of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany.  In 2007-8 Kennedy was the Phillipe Roman Professor of History and International Affairs at the London School of Economics.

15. RULES OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN GLOBAL POLITICS (2004)
Michael Barnett is Harold Stassen Chair at the Hubert H. Humphrey School and Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the University of Minnesota.  He is the author of several books, including Eyewitness to a Genocide: The United Nations and Rwanda, and coeditor with Shibley Telhami of Identity and Foreign Policy in the Middle East.
Martha Finnemore is Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at George Washington University.  Her books The Purpose of Intervention: Changing Beliefs about the Use of Force and National Interests in International Society.

16.  SCREWED; How Foreign Countries are Ripping America Off and Plundering Our Economy. (2012)
Dick Morris is an American political author and commentator who previously worked as a pollster, political campaign consultant and general political consultant.  Morris became the primary political adviser to the White House after Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992.  Morris encouraged Clinton to pursue third way policies of triangulation that combined traditional Republican and Democratic proposals, rhetoric, and issues so as to achieve maximum political gain and popularity.  He helped Clinton recover from the 1994 midterm elections by advising the President to adopt more moderate policies.  George Stephanopoulos has said, “Over the course of the first nine months of 1995, no single person had more power over the president.” Morris went on to become campaign manager of Bill Clinton’s successful 1996 bid for re-elections as President.  Morris now writes a weekly column for the New York Post which is carried nationwide.
Eileen McGann is an attorney who, with her husband, Dick, writes columns for the New York Post and for their website.  She has written extensively about the abuses of Congress and the need for reform. 

GLOBAL GOVERNANCE
17. WHY NATIONS FAIL (2012)
Daron Acemoglu is a Turkish-born American economist who has taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 1993.  He is currently Elizabeth and James Killian Professor of Economics at MIT.  Acemoglu is best known for his work on political economy.  He ranked third, behind Paul Krugman and Greg Mankiw, in the list of “Favorite Living Economists Under Age 60” in a 20011 survey among American economists.  In 2015 he was named the most cited economist of the past 10 years per IDEAS/RePEc data. 
James Alan Robinson is a British economist and political scientist.  Since 2015, he has been a University Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy Studies of the University of Chicago.  In 2004, he was appointed Professor Government at Harvard, with his chair being named David Florence Professor of Government in 2009.  He has authored hundreds of papers, many of which are co-authored with his long-time collaborator Daron Acemoglu.
