The Administrative Threat by Philip Hamburger (2017) Philip Hamburger is the Maurice and Hilda Friedman Professor of Law at the Columbia Law School. He writes on constitutional law, including religious liberty, freedom of speech and the press, administrative power, and unconstitutional conditions. His previous books are Separation of Church and State, Law and Judicial Duty, and Is Administrative Law Unlawful? He received a BA from Princeton and a JD from Yale. He is a member of the American Academy of Art and Sciences, and has been awarded the Sutherland Prize twice, the Henry Paolucci/Walter Bagehot Book Award, and Hayek Book Prize, and the Bradley Prize.
The Chevron Doctrine by Thomas W. Merrill (2022). Thomas W. Merrill is the Charles Evans Hughes Professor at Columbia Law School. A former Deputy Solicitor General in the Department of Justice, he has twice been honored by the American Bar Association for his work on administrative law.
Unmasking the Administrative State: The Crisis of American Politics in the Twenty-First Century by John Marini (2019). John Marini is a Senior Fellow of the Claremont Institute in California and a professor of political science at the University of Nevada, Reno. During the Reagan administration, he served as a Special Assistant to then-Chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Justice Clarence Thomas. In addition to his pioneering work on the administrative state, he authored several books including The Progressive Revolution in Politics and Political Science; The Imperial Congress; The Politics of Budget Control: Congress, the Presidency, and the Growth of the Administrative State; and The Founders on Citizenship and Immigration. He was awarded the Claremont Institutes’ Henry Salvatori Prize and in 2013, he served as the Distinguished Resident Fellow at the Kirby Center for Constitutional Studies. He received his PhD in government at Claremont Graduate University and has also taught at Ohio University and the University of Dallas.
Over Ruled: The Human Toll of Too Much Law by Neil Gorsuch (2024). Neil Gorsuch is an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. His most recent book, A Republic: If You Can Keep It, was a New York Times bestseller and won the 2022 Burston Award for the Book of the Year in Law.
Big Intel: How the CIA and FBI Went from Cold War Heroes to Deep State Villains by J. Michael Waller (2024). J. Michael Waller, PhD, is a senior analyst for strategy at the Center for Security Policy and president of Georgetown Research, a political risk and private intelligence company. Waller worked for the CIA in Central America, did groundbreaking scholarship after the Soviet empire’s breakup, and taught history and methods at America’s premier intelligence schools. His work has appeared in the New York Post, the Washington Times, the Washington Examiner, the Federalist, and the Wall Street Journal. The CIA: An Imperial History by Hugh Wilford (2024). Hugh Wilford is a professor of history at the California State University, Long Beach and author of five books, including America’s Great Game and The Mighty Wurlitzer.

He also served in the Department of Homeland Security from August 2011 to December 2014 as under secretary (acting) and deputy under secretary in the Science and Technology Directorate. A 1980 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, Gerstein also has a Master of Science degree in operations research and systems analysis from Georgia Tech, a mater of science degree in national security from the National War College, and a PhD in biodefense from George Mason University. He served for more than twelve years in the Pentagon in eight different positions.

Kash Pramod Patel has recently been made the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
