Segment 1: Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force Recommendations At the beginning of the Biden administration’s term representatives for the Biden camp and the Bernie Sanders camp met to forge a Democrat unity platform. This covers a multitude of subjects including climate, criminal justice, economy, racial equity, education, health care, and immigration. This segment provides excerpts from the 110-page document and provides an understanding of the plan that was developed for the administration.
Segment 2: Governance (Serious Concern) This segment contains excerpts from seven authors and covers a range of governance issues including Biden’s ambition for his term, first year results, approach to business, equity versus merit, abortion, unification, blame game, and ends with comments on the governance shift by the Democrat Party. Of the seven authors, I would classify two as left leaning, three as right leaning and two in the middle.
Segment 3: Climate Change (Some Concern) Climate change is a difficult subject for me to report on as I am a Climate Change skeptic. The first part of the segment contains excerpts from the climate change series I did in 2018 which shaped my opinion. The second part are excerpts from three different authors on Biden’s climate policies followed by a current view of the Paris Climate Accord. The third part focuses on potential consequences from the war on fossil fuels.
Segment 4: Criminal Justice(Significant Alarm) Questions and poor results of law and order have exploded under the Biden administration. This applies to the safety of the everyday citizen, weaponization of the justice system against political opponents and dissenters, impact of rogue prosecutors, the crime of white supremacy, aggressive expansion of Executive branch’s powers, and presidential immunity. This segment will look at each.
Segment 5: Immigration and the Southern Border(Serious Concern) Reportedly the significant problem at the border is not the result of incompetence but of purposeful policy. As evidence the policy differences between the Trump administration and that of the Biden administration are contrasted. The fentanyl problem is outlined and the taxpayer cost for the resultant illegal aliens is presented. Additionally, the segment contains a critique of Kamala Harris’s handling of the situation.
Segment 6: COVID – 19 (Little Concern) This segment contains two conservative views on the Biden’s administration’s management of the COVID- 19 crisis followed by two liberal views. Similar comparisons are made on the “Kids and Teacher’s Unions.”
Segment 7: Foreign Policy (Significant Alarm) Segment 7 commences with a view on President Biden’s foreign policy reputation. It is followed by two views on the Afghanistan withdrawal (liberal and conservative) two views on the Ukrainian conflict (conservative and liberal) and then a view on the Israeli war provided by Alan Dershowitz from his book War Against the Jews. The segment ends with a critique of Biden’s performance in the Middle East and the rest of the world including China.
Segment 8: China (Survival Fear) Most of the excerpts in this segment come from Peter Schweizer’s book Blood Money: Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans. His contention is that we are already at war with China, but few recognize it. His view emanates from a book Unrestricted Warfare written in 1999 by two Chinese Colonels who are now well up in the command of the People’s Liberation Army. I have a copy of that book that I used for a series on China that is in my blog. The segment begins with a statement of China Grand Strategy per the Council on Foreign Relations in 2020. That is followed by excerpts from Unrestricted Warfare which outlines the nature of conflict in China’s “new concept wars” as envisioned in 1999. Schweizer carries on from there.
Segment 9: Economy (Survival Fear) The early part of the segment rehashes Biden’s spending and the resultant inflation. Then we come to the true potential consequence of his actions: the dollar losing its preeminence in the world thus its status as the world’s reserve currency. More importantly, the emergence of a potential replacement by the BRICS bloc. (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) whose currency is planned to be backed by gold.
Segment 10: Culture Wars (Significant Alarm) Segment 10 begins with a short history of social change institute by Democrats since identity politics was born in the late 1970s. Then it moves to Biden’s social agenda (racial equity, climate equity, woke ideology, transgender rights, open borders). Then there is a section on the elimination of merit via lower requirements for people of color in the medical and legal professions versus addressing the real problem of the “academic skill gap.” It ends with a piece by Heather MacDonald Disparate Impact Thinking is Destroying Our Civilization.
Segment 11: For Love of Country Leave the Democrat Party Behind This is the first of the Ideology Shift segment which features six books and six authors. The first author is Tulsi Gabbard who wrote For Love of Country Leave the Democrat Party Behind. Tulsi was a Representative from Hawaii and Democratic Candidate for President in 2020. She has since left the Democrat Party and became an independent. Her book explains the reasons for her leaving, which is fundamentally because they made such drastic ideological changes with which she didn’t agree. The excerpts are enlightening.
Segment 12: Loss of Trust & Confidence in Leaders and Institutions All of the excerpts in this segment are from America’s Breakdown by Gerard Baker. Mr. Baker is the Editor-at-Large for the Wall Street Journal. The premise of the book is that We, the People, no longer trust our leaders and institutions and we must rebuild that confidence. His book describes why we lost trust and how we can rebuild it.
Segment 13: Infusion of Cultural Marxism Senator Ted Cruz is the author of Unwoke. The book explains how Marxism has infiltrated many of our institutions -- Universities and Colleges, K-12 Education, Newsrooms, Big Tech, Government, Corporations, Entertainment, Medicine, Science, as well as Chinese relations. The excerpts provide a good problem analysis but not much on solutions.
Segment 14: The Assault on Our Constitutional Government This is fundamentally a critique on the Democrat Party’s move to the Left ideologically. The author is Mark Levin who has written seven consecutive #1 New York Times best sellers. His book is titled The Democrat Party Hates America so don’t expect the excerpts to be favorable to changes being driven by Joe Biden.
Segment 15: Social Justice Fallacies The author of this segment’s excerpts is Thomas Sowell, who I have the highest regard for. His book is titled Social Justice Fallacies. In the book he intelligently exposes fallacies in the modern-day narratives of “equal chances,” “race and ethnic issues,” “income redistribution,” and “Progressive Concepts.”
Segment 16: The End of Constitutional Order This segment provides the history behind the development of “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion” (DEI), that President Biden has aggressively established throughout the federal government by mandate. The author, Christopher Rufo argues rather persuasively why the expansion of DEI would end constitutional order in our country. Further he articulates why a counter revolution is needed and how it can be accomplished. The book is titled America’s Cultural Revolution.
Segment 17: Kamala Harris Kamala Harris was a late addition as the Democrat Party’s nominee for the 2024 Presidential Election. Despite her professional history and eight years in the Federal Government (4 years as a U.S. Senator and 4 years as Vice President), there has not been a thorough examination of her journey to the White House. Charles Spiering provides such an analysis in his book Amateur Hour which is augmented by articles from the Wall Street Journal and New York Times on her foreign policies.
Segment 18: Corruption After six segments of single author/single books this segment has nine sources of information. It covers several areas of corruption during the Biden administration: The Biden Family Business, Classified Documents, Chinese donations, Suppression of Speech and six members of Joe Biden’s immediate family.
